Visual Artist – Nikos Kouroussis
Nikos Kouroussis was born in 1937 in Mitsero, Cyprus, and currently lives and works in Nicosia. He studied art at Saint Martin’s School of Fine Arts and at Hornsey College of Art in London.
His work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and his pieces can be found in public and private collections in Cyprus and abroad. His artistic practice is deeply inspired by myth, exploring human and social dimensions through contemporary visual approaches.
In 2021, he was awarded the Medal of the Republic of Cyprus by the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts. He also worked in stage and costume design, receiving the Stage Design Award from the Cyprus Theatre Organisation in 2012.
