Painter – Marina Olympios
Marina Olympios was born in 1968 in Nicosia. She studied in Paris and graduated with distinction in 1993 from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (ENSBA). In 1994, she worked as a research fellow at the Institut des Hautes Études en Arts Plastiques in Paris, and later at the International Studio & Curatorial Program in New York, representing both the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (AFAA) and the French Ministry of Culture (DAP).
She has held 14 solo exhibitions, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and at Lehmann Maupin Gallery in New York. In 1995, she received the FIACRE Research Award in Visual Arts from the French Ministry of Culture.
Alongside her artistic practice, she has authored several books.
