Painter – Christos Foukaras
Christos Foukaras was born in 1944 in Kissonega, Paphos. He studied painting at the Surikov Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow and later worked as an art teacher upon returning to Cyprus.
He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad and has participated in many group exhibitions nationally and internationally.
His work is rooted in depictions of everyday people and the natural landscape of Cyprus. In addition to painting, he also worked in woodcarving and cement relief sculpture.
