Andreas Chrysochos was born in 1929 in the village of Milia in the Famagusta district. He attended the Pancyprian Gymnasium, where he studied under Adamantios Diamantis. Following his distinction in a Commonwealth watercolour competition, he received a British government scholarship to study at Goldsmiths’ College in London.

After returning to Cyprus, he worked in education before continuing his studies in London. In 1959, he returned permanently to Cyprus, where he served as a lecturer at the Pedagogical Academy and as an art inspector in secondary education.

He participated in important exhibitions and international art events in Cyprus and abroad and was awarded the Medal of Letters and Arts by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus.
