Choreographer – Arianna Economou
Arianna Economou is a contemporary dance and performance artist, choreographer, and movement educator, with a strong focus on improvisation as a compositional tool. Her work brings together physicality, voice, memory and writing, shaping interdisciplinary performances with an autobiographical dimension.
She is the founder of Echo Arts Living Arts Centre (1996) and Dance Gate Lefkosia, and served as the first artistic director of Dance House Lefkosia (2011–2021) and No_Body Festival (2009–2021). She has collaborated with leading artists and organisations internationally, developing performances, educational programmes and artistic platforms.
In 2005, she received the Teukros Anthias & Theodosis Pierides Award for her contribution to contemporary culture in Cyprus.
