Artist – Koula Savvidou
Koula Savvidou was born in 1956 in London and raised in Lemesos. She studied Fine Arts at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, France (1975–1981).
Since 1976, she has exhibited her work in Cyprus and abroad, participating in numerous group exhibitions and holding solo exhibitions in Cyprus. She took part in the Barcelona Biennale (1987) and the Alexandria Biennale (1991).
Her artistic practice includes spatial painted constructions and wall-based works. Her works are held in the State Gallery of Contemporary Cypriot Art, cultural institutions and private collections in Cyprus, Greece, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
