Lady of Lapithos
The story of Evfrosyni Proestou, known as the “Lady of Lapithos”, comes to life in this production by the Press and Information Office.
In August 1974, during the turmoil of the Turkish invasion, the elderly midwife from Lapithos helped twelve stranded Greek Cypriot soldiers, becoming a symbol of courage, humanity and self-sacrifice.
